***Exciting Opportunity for Raheny Mentors: Join the Gaelic Games Coaching Community of Practice***
We are thrilled to announce that Raheny has been fortunate enough to be selected as one of the few clubs to participate in the prestigious Gaelic Games Coaching Community of Practice (GGCCoP). This initiative is a fantastic opportunity for all our mentors to enhance their coaching skills and knowledge.
What is the Gaelic Games Coaching Community of Practice?
The Gaelic Games Coaching Community of Practice is an approach designed to promote clubs taking ownership of their own coach learning and upskilling. It provides a supportive network where groups of coaches proactively share knowledge, experiences, good practices, and resources. This initiative aims to improve coaching skills through collaboration and mutual support, creating an internal network within the club where coaches can exchange ideas and support each other. This initiative is part of the broader Gaelic Games Coach Pathway, which aims to provide coaches with the skills and knowledge needed to develop players effectively. It includes various learning opportunities such as foundational coaching courses and core modules
We invite all mentors to join us for our first meeting on Thursday, 13th February at 8pm in Hogan's Deck. This session will be facilitated by Bernie Durkan, a highly experienced coach developer and qualified sports psychologist. Bernie will guide us through the principles and practices that will help us grow as coaches and better support our players.
This opportunity is open to ALL club coaches of football, hurling, camogie, and ladies football. The program will entail 3-4 one-hour monthly meetings starting in February.
We strongly encourage all mentors to attend this meeting. Lead mentors are asked to encourage all mentors in their group to attend. Your participation is crucial in making the most of this unique opportunity. Let's come together to learn, share, and elevate our coaching community.
Don't miss out on this chance to be part of a community dedicated to excellence in coaching. We look forward to seeing you there!
