This week in our coaching corner, we are focusing on the importance of warm-ups before training and games for all codes. We strongly encourage all club mentors to adopt the GAA 15 as a standardised warm-up routine.

Why Use the GAA 15?
The GAA 15 is a scientifically designed warm-up program aimed at reducing injuries among Gaelic Games players. Developed by the Medical, Scientific, and Welfare Committee in collaboration with various experts, this program offers numerous benefits:
- Injury Prevention: By improving neuromuscular control and balance, the GAA 15 significantly reduces the incidence of injuries.
- Performance Enhancement: The exercises enhance dynamic balance and jump-landing performance, preparing players for optimal performance.
- Consistency: A standardised warm-up routine ensures that all players, regardless of the code, are equally prepared and protected. This consistency is crucial for both players and mentors, making it easier to integrate into training and games.
